KOSOVO LURES UNITED TEENAGER

Manchester United teenager, Adnan Januzaj has been invited to play in Kosovo’s first ever international football match.

Reports in the Guardian are that the teenager has been invited for his fatherland which does not have a FIFA affiliated senior team but a FIFA sanctioned youth team.

The 18-year old winger who is yet to decide his international career having been born to Kosovo-Albanian parents in Belgium and he could also qualify to feature for England owing to citizenship rights.

Kosovo’s first ever match is a friendly against Haiti on 5 March, and fielding Januzaj would not mean he is committing his long- term future to the county.

The Secretary General of Kosovo’s football federation Eroll Salihu was quoted saying, “By playing in this match (Kosovo vs Haiti) we are not thinking he is making any commitment to us.

It is a friendly and would not have any effect on him being able to play for another country in the future.”

Should Januzaj agrees to appear for Kosovo, it means he could turn-out once for Kosovo before ultimately having to make the choice between the four countries he is eligible for.

WHO DO YOU THINK ADNAN JANUZAJ SHOULD FEATURE FOR BETWEEN ENGLAND, BELGIUM, ALBANIA, KOSOVO?
